Samsung Galaxy A55 coming

Samsung Galaxy A50 series consists of very capable and popular phones with somewhat premium price tags on them. These are so good that they have been a regular starter in our best phone under NPR 60,000 list for quite some time now. With Samsung’s annual event fast approaching, leaks and rumours regarding the newest addition to the series have started surfacing. In this article, we will be discussing what we know of the Samsung Galaxy A55 so far.

Samsung Galaxy A55 Rumours Roundup

First of all, the name of the device is likely going to be “Samsung Galaxy A55”. This doesn’t seem like much news, but companies tend to switch things up every now and then. For example: Apple skipped the iPhone 9 entirely and even Samsung jumped fro

m S10 to S20. This is unlikely to happen with the A50 lineup and the newer A55 will likely follow in the footsteps of the Galaxy A54.

Sources say that the Samsung Galaxy A55 will feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED display and a 50 MP primary camera, which is the same as its predecessor. However, it is unclear if the 1/1.56-inch sensor will see any changes. Nonetheless, sources are speculating that the image quality will indeed improve but mostly due to software tweaks and processing. Furthermore, they are expecting the Galaxy A55 to ship with a Samsung-AMD partnership chipset of S538845 a.k.a Exynos 1480. This chipset is set to have an AMD-derived GPU. You can read further about it in a dedicated article, we covered earlier this month.

Conclusion

Looking at the previous trend, we are expecting the Samsung Galaxy A55 to launch in the first quarter of 2024. Given the track record of the Galaxy A50 series, we are ready to greet its newest addition with open arms.
