Display and Build
Redmi 12 has a large 6.79-inch IPS display. This FHD+ panel supports 90Hz refresh rate and has a maximum brightness of 550 nits. As a budget phone, you get a plastic build and it weighs 198.5 grams. Its flat-edge design and camera cutout are somewhat similar to the Redmi Note 12 Turbo aka POCO F5. Plus, it's IP53 rated against damage from dust and splashes of water.
Chipset
Under the hood, the Redmi 12 is powered by MediaTek's Helio G88 processor. This 12nm chipset supports 4G connectivity and has two Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores. In terms of memory, the phone is available with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. While in terms of software, there is Android 13-based MIUI 14 out-of-the-box.
